Interview with a Tour Guide

On August 12th, 1993, I interviewed Joseph Aranyosi on the University of Richmond campus, in the courtyard in front of the Jepson School of Leadership. Joe was not only an up-and-coming art student at Northwestern University, but happened also to have been my roommate as well as my future brother-in-law (a fact we could not have even guessed at the time).

The ideas expressed by Aranyosi would become central to my own artist direction, which I did not realize until listening to this again after over twelve years had gone by. The interview was recorded on micro cassette and recently recovered from the archives. It can be found here. You will need to listen to the interview to understand the title of this entry.
