Random Idea of the Day

Truth telling is only half of the battle.  The other half is believing the truth.  Rarely does anyone actually believe the truth.  One reason is that they cannot know that the truth is being told.  Even if they knew that the truth is being told, they would still have a need to disbelieve since believing would be relinquishing their control on reality.  Everyone has a need to control their own version of reality and everyone resists efforts to alter that reality.  This is why we say people ‘hear what they want to hear’.

Quote of the Day

“Censorship is the tool of those who have the need to hide actualities from themselves and others. Their fear is only their inability to face what is real. Somewhere in their upbringing they were shielded against the total facts of our experience. They were only taught to look one way when many ways exist.”
– Charles Bukowski

Winter 2003 E.P.

I’ve had an old CD of music I put together in the Winter of 2003 sitting on my desk for at least a month. Just sitting among the piles of notebooks, pending bills, discarded sticky notes, half-sharpened pencils, and old pens, not to mention two small packages of Pez Cola candies. Yes I live in clutter.

It is now available for download. Three tracks that I performed and produced and put back in the blender, tweaked and now… find them under sounds at http://www.thesilencebureau.com.
