Quote of the Day

“People are looking for bargains, especially in college textbooks, where we believe millions of used books are being bought. Also, books are competing with magazines, cable, radio, music and movies.” –Albert N. Greco, book industry consultant and professor of business at the graduate school of Fordham University on why book sales have dropped by 23 million in 2003.

Of course, books also are competing with video games and other non-essential activities like people working, eating, sleeping, that sort of thing.
